Résumé
This paper analyses the diachronic evolution of Libyan-Punic traditions and exogenous Mediterranean contributions in the production of ceramics on the African territory between the Roman and Arab conquest, by questioning the modification of the morphology of amphorae, the rise and development of African productions of tableware (ARS), the creation of an original repertoire of cooking wares, the lessons learned from the morphology and decoration of lamps, the particularities of architectural ceramics and the particular case of handmade ceramics and their revival in Late Antiquity, and what they tell us about the society of Roman, Vandal and Byzantine Africa and the trace that may remain in the society of Ifriqiya.
