Albert Gelet et al., « Effects of high intensity focused ultrasound on healthy and tumoral tissues », Canal-U, la vidéothèque de l'enseignement supérieur, ID : 10.60527/mvh8-q929
High intensity focused ultrasound could destroy both healthy and tumoral tissues without cousing damage of the neighbouring organs. The efficiency of this new treatment has been tested : 1/On the experimental prostatic adenocarcinoma Dunning R3327 variant AT 2 implanted in the Cophenhag/Fischer rat ; 2/ On the human prostatic adenocarcinoma implanted in the nude micer ; 3/ On canine prostate and the human PBH (the destruction of prostatic tissue could be performed transrectally). These experiments showed that high intensity focused ultrasound : 1/ can destroy the prostatic adenocarcinoma Dunning AT 2 and are able to obtain a complete cure in 61% of cases whithout any adjuvant therapy ; 2/ can destroy the human prostatic tissu implanted in the nude mice : FILMED_92-5204-468 1992
