Résumé 0

Etienne Colaud’s name was, until now, traditionaly associated to the Statutes of the Order of Saint Mickael during the reign of Francis I, King of France. A Book of Hours with Colaud’s souscription, discovered on Art’s Market, allows a better knowledge about this illuminator who, little by little, devoted himself to a bookseller activity. The discovery of this Book of Hours has permitted a comparison between the documents concerning Etienne Colaud that have been preserved and the works that made up his career. We can now attribute eighteen manuscripts to this artist.
