Approval of the National park’s charter of Reunion Island : a step towards the construction of a Reunionese ecological public order. The charter of the National park of Reunion Island has been approved by decree n° 2014-49 of January the 21th. This charter not only reveals a sustainable project for the future but also offers to territorial actors the means to reach it. If this act provides its traditional finality -namely protecting an exceptional space, landscape and biodiversity – it firstly indicates that a new environmental synergy is wanted for the territorial development. In that way, this charter is for sure a keystone for the ecological public order’s construction in Reunion.

La charte du Parc National de la Réunion a été approuvée par le décret n° 2014-49 du 21 janvier 2014. Cette charte porte un projet fédérateur pour le développement durable du territoire réunionnais. Soucieuse d’assurer au Parc sa longévité, elle propose non seulement une vision pour le territoire mais donne également aux acteurs les moyens de la réaliser. Assurant sa fonction principale de protection d’un espace exceptionnel, elle se positionne bien plus comme un acte clé pour l’enclenchement d’une synergie du développement durable à la Réunion. En ce sens, la charte du Parc national de la Réunion est une pierre angulaire pour la construction de l’ordre public écologique réunionnais.
