Teaching of quantities and measurements at primary school in France is an interdisciplinaryissue shared by mathematics and physics teaching. This teaching is significant on the one hand, to buildthe concept of number, and on the other hand to the understanding of the nature of sciences and thescientific approach. This text presents a chain of three courses for primary student teachers conducted byboth a mathematics and sciences teacher educators.

Le thème des grandeurs et mesures à l'école primaire en France est un thème partagé entre l'enseignement des mathématiques et celui des sciences expérimentales. Son importance réside dans sa participation à la construction du concept du nombre chez les jeunes élèves, et à la compréhension de la nature des sciences et de la démarche expérimentale. Dans ce texte, nous présentons une séquence de formation des futurs enseignants du primaire à travers une approche interdisciplinaire maths-sciences.
