Résumé 0

Affect regulation can take the form of a use of coping strategies and of the use of emotion regulation strategies. These two forms partially cross over but would differ in the types of actions they engender and the situations that prime them. This study aims at determining the links between on the one hand the strategies of emotion regulation strategies and on the other hand the strategies of coping. One hundred and seventy-three participants filled out a questionnaire including jointly emotion regulation and coping measures. Results show various links between the emotion regulation strategies and the coping ones. The discussion points out the relevance of the evaluation of emotion regulation strategies as well as the positive effect of cognitive reappraisal in the choice of a coping strategy.
