Fatima Touhami et al., « Transcultural validation of the Avicenne ELAL in dialectal Arabic (Morocco) », L'Autre, ID : 10670/1.c2fc0d...
In a context of moving populations and the schooling of the children of immigrants, the Avicenne pediatric psychiatry team in the northern Parisian suburb have set up the first tool for evaluating mother tongue competence, called the Avicenne ELAL. This test is used to better understand how children learn to speak in a plurilingual environment and to offer them help if difficulties arise. This article presents the transcultural validation of the Avicenne ELAL in the Oujda region in Morocco. Validation results in environments believed to be monolingual are provided and the pertinence of the testing and the choice of items is discussed.
