DECART (Designing higher Education Curricula for Agility, Resilience & Transformation) is acooperation partnership in higher education funded by Erasmus+. The aim of the project is topropose methods and tools to guide STEM & Management educational leaders in innovativecurriculum design and program transformations in an effort to be more prepared forunpredictable VUCA contexts (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous). The projectfacilitates the identification and sharing of innovative curricula among partners in the project aswell as associated international participants, in essence to assess and improve interoperabilityand resilience of curricula. Over the course of 3 years (2022-2025), the project brings together4 universities from Europe and 2 from South Africa and Asia. This report, VUCA Scenarios Impacting Higher Education (report R12) summarizes the workdone in the first phase of the project, i.e. on curriculum design, and in particular on the effect ofVUCA scenarios on curriculum design. This was done through discussions among the partnersand by a survey done in the latter part of 2023. The survey focussed on potential VUCAscenarios that faculty had experienced or foresaw, and the perceived sensitivity of differentcomponents of curricula to these events. Finally, the report summarizes the findings from thesurvey.
