Résumé 0

It has generally been assumed for about fifteen years that human beings are born with an innate number sense. However, recent literature reviews have questioned the relevance of the different tasks ordinarily used to confirm this hypothesis. Our aim is to assess whether the conclusions of these reviews could be extended to a wide range of tasks. Four international databases were examined from 2002 to 2017: psycINFO, psycARTICLES, psycCRITIQUES, and Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection. Our conclusion is that the usual tasks would not show that an innate number sense exists.
