Inside the french reform of nursing studies : a faculty members surveyChanging societal health care needs has led the Ministry of Health to rethink the paramedical courses. European harmonization was needed to set up this training with the LMD system within a university scheme. Based on this new paradigm, an educational reform consisting of a competency-based approach was implemented, leading to major modifications in the function of a trainer. Consequently, training institutes for health care managers had to adapt their program to this new learning concept.The main objective of this study was to identify the needs of trainers in charge of this new graduate nurse program. The secondary objective was to collect their perceptions in order to recognize the positive or negative factors related to these changes.A questionnaire survey was conducted with 276 trainers belonging to 16 out of the 17 nursing schools of the Rhone-Alpes 2 region. One hundred and five trainers responded, corresponding to a rate of 38 %.The majority of the respondents considered the new program as suitable, both for training and for profession. The skills approach is seen as a factor for improvement. The learnings to be developed are in line with reflective practice and the conception of symbolic situations.The study has allowed to gather the needs for the trainers to adapt their training. It highlighted the importance of a referent trainer for the trainee, a major and precious lever for change.

L’évolution sociétale des besoins en santé a conduit le ministère de la santé à repenser les formations paramédicales. La construction d’un espace européen les a inscrit dans un schéma universitaire. Accompagnant cette universitarisation, une réforme pédagogique fondée sur l’approche par compétences est initiée, modifiant la fonction du cadre formateur. Les instituts de formation cadres de santé ont à construire un dispositif de formation adapté à ce modèle d’apprentissage.L’objectif principal de l’enquête visait à repérer les besoins de formation des formateurs conduisant le référentiel de formation infirmier. L’objectif secondaire était de recueillir leurs perceptions pour identifier les éléments favorisant ou freinant ce changement.Une enquête par questionnaire a été réalisée auprès des formateurs des instituts de formation en soins infirmiers de la région Rhône-Alpes 2. Sur les 17 instituts sollicités, 16 ont participé, représentant environ 276 personnes. Cent cinq personnes ont répondu (38 %).La majorité des enquêtés considère le nouveau programme adapté tant pour la formation que pour la profession. L’approche par compétences est vue comme facteur d’amélioration. Les apprentissages à développer sont en lien avec la pratique réflexive et la conception de situations emblématiques.L’enquête a permis de recueillir les besoins des formateurs pour adapter leur formation. Elle a mis en lumière l’importance de la fonction référent de stage, levier favorisant le changement.
